Objective
The goal was to design a 4×6 inch package for a webcam cover, which would be given to all employees and new hires. The package had to act as a physical reminder of the company’s focus on trust and security. The design needed to strictly follow CDIC’s brand rules (colors, look, logo) and include all text in both English and French.
Challenge
The main challenge was fitting all the required bilingual text and instructions onto the small 4×6 inch card. I began by creating a clean, professional design that respected the company’s brand. I used a side-by-side layout for the English and French text, which kept the content clear. I also used a simple graphic to clearly show the two main functions of the cover (open and close). The final design was simple and ready for large-scale, quality printing.
Value
This project provided value by turning a small giveaway item into a useful, branded security tool. The package served as an effective and professional welcome touchpoint for new employees. By designing for a major federal institution and managing the strict bilingual and brand rules, I demonstrated my ability to handle complex physical design projects for high-profile clients.
